Pressure on Sessions Forces Amendment
House Republicans Seek to Investigate Real Collusion in Deep-State

By:Jake Fogg

President Donald Trump’s latest slamming of Attorney General(AG), Jeff Sessions, may lead to an investigation into the misleading of the American people by Obama Administration officials during the last presidential campaign. Sessions, had recused himself from investigating the fictitious Russian Collusion activities in order to get confirmed by the senate.

Republican representatives Matt Gaetz, Andy Biggs, Mike Johnson, and Jim Jordan have drafted an amendment to launch a probe into the back-room dealings of former AG Loretta Lynch and former FBI director James Comey.  The amendment will be attached to a bill from Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash, that asks the Justice Department to supply documents surrounding the firing of James Comey.

The draft, which was acquired by Breitbart News, would solicit documents and evidence to show Lynch’s attempt to intentionally mislead Americans by instructing Comey to refer to the investigation into the Clinton email scandal as “matter” instead of a “criminal investigation”.

This amendment would make it easier for Sessions to probe this and other matters involved in the various Clinton scandals.  Accordingly it would seek information on “leaks by James B. Comey, “ regarding “the propriety and consequence of immunity deals given to possible Hillary Clinton co-conspirators”, and would also seek Comey’s knowledge of the “majority stake in the company Uranium One by the company Rosatom.”

Other Democrats focused on in the amendment include former security advisor Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton, and former President Barrack Obama.

Congressman Andy Biggs, R-Ariz told the Washington Examiner that he is seeking to “push back” the “accusations” that distract from the President’s as well as the Republican agenda. Amid fictitious claims of “Russian Collusion”, President Trump and the Republicans have been slowed in implementing their agenda since the President took office.

In an interview, Biggs stated, “The bottom line is we are tired of passively letting people make accusations to overcrowd our agenda and they ought to respond to claims we know exist about their misconduct.”

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, also stated the following to the Washington Examiner, “For the past several years, Democrats have obstructed justice and blocked every Congressional investigation imaginable. Both parties criticized James Comey over the past year for his performance as FBI director. Even Sen. Feinstein says there should be an investigation into Loretta Lynch and James Comey’s handling of the Clinton investigation. Let’s have a special counsel for that and see how serious congressional Democrats are about getting to the truth.”

Consistent with this statement, Matt Gaetz, in an email, told Breitbart News, “It’s time for Republicans to start playing offense.”

In a phone interview, Biggs also reflected the voter perspective. “My constituents ask the same questions that so many people want to know the answer to, and that is ‘why have all these investigations stopped?’ There was a whole lot of fire there and they just seemed to end when the new administration came in and I think there’s two or three reasons. Number one, I think you want justice and that leads to number two—if you don’t have justice and you’re not following the rule of law then government and lawmakers and those who enforce the law are held in derision by the public. They lose faith and confidence in those they elect and so I think this is really important to get back to those basics and find out what happened and so that’s why I think it’s important.”

Focuses of the amendment specific to James Comey would include his knowledge of Fusion GPS’s fabricated dossier, his decision to “usurp the authority” of AG Lynch with the announcement that criminal charges would not be brought against Hillary Clinton, and also his level of knowledge of the meeting between AG Lynch and former President Bill Clinton on the tarmac at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, AZ.

At this point, it is unclear if the bill with this amendment will pass. Thus far, everything reported on this matter is based on a draft of the amendment and has not yet been voted on in the House of Representatives.
